The Blowing Rock Horse Show, North Carolina Symphony in late July and the Highland Games near Grandfather Mountain keep the High Country busy during the summer months. Relax during a casual drive along the parkway or hike the Tanawa trail, which parallels a stretch of the local parkway for the best views.
